Skiing in Val d'Isère, France
The Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area is one of France's most classic ski destinations, with the kind of expansive terrain and above-tree line landscapes you really only find in the Alps. With over 300km of runs, a great food culture, and vibrant 'apres' scene, it would take a lifetime to experience it all.
The resort is modernly known as the 'Espace Killy' in France, after the one and only Jean-Claude, who grew up skiing the area. Jean-Claude Killy was a major inspiration for John Clendenin, and his skiing forms the basis for the method. So, of course, we visit every year to pay homage.Â
The famous Face de Bellevarde downhill course at Val d'Isere hosted the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games, the 2009 World Ski Championships, and is the annual host of the Critérium de la Première Neige, where the world’s best skiers gather every year. The Tignes glacier is open most of the year, and regularly receives fresh snowfall in April, guaranteeing good conditions for the camp.

The CM Val d'Isere Experience
The CM Val d'Isere Ski Adventure is hosted by the 'Hotel Les Barmes de l'Ours', a 5-star Relais & Chateaux resort located at the foot of the Rocher de Bellevarde run. Staying at 'Les Barmes' (the 'Bear's Den' in the local dialect) really is as good as it gets. For more information on the Hotel les Barmes de l'Ours Click Here.
The trip includes 7-nights of lodging at the hotel, Saturday to Saturday, and 6-days of skiing with our local guide (Rick Harrison) and your favorite CM coaches, including Bosse Landberger. Bosse and Rick know the resort intimately, and are experts on where to ski, and almost as importantly, where to eat (the biggest challenge every day may be deciding which of the 50 on-mountain restaurants to visit)! While this Ski Adventure is primarily about the experience and the skiing, coaches will also provide instruction and feedback throughout the trip. Every past participant has come away having markedly improved their skiing.
The comradery on the trip is also a highlight for many—get to know other Clendenin Method skiers and the coaches while riding the chair, sharing meals, and enjoying a glass (or several) of French wine.

Courchevel 2027 4-Day Extension
Saturday to Thursday, April 10th - 15th
Beginning in 2027, we will be offering a 4-day European extension at the end of the Val d'Isére trip. Each year will see us exploring a different Alpine resort. For 2027, we've decided to start with a classic: Courchevel 1850.
Courchevel 1850 is the ultimate in alpine-chic ski destinations, and offers access to the largest interconnected ski area in the world, 'Les Trois Vallées'. Les Trois Vallées (literally 'the three valleys') has 183 lifts, servicing 600 kms of runs, and connecting 8 base villages. We obviously won't be able to see all that the three valleys have to offer in 4 ski-days, but Courchevel 1850 is the highest and most 'deluxe' base area, and the Hotel de la Loze (our base of operations for the extension) offers direct access to the resorts best terrain and the best spring snow conditions.
This Extension Includes:
- 5 nights of accommodation in a 'Superior' room at the Hotel de la Loze (breakfast included)
- 4-days of guided skiing in 'Les Trois Vallées' with CM coaches and a local guide
- Ground transportation from Val d'Isere and back to Geneva airport
Not Included:
 - Air travel
 - Lunches, dinners, and drinks
 - Ski rentals or equipment
Pricing:
$7,000 per-person single occupancy, $5,000 per-person double occupancy
Please Note:Â This optional extension can also be booked on it's own... Can't make it to Val d'Isere for the 3rd - 10th? No problem! Meet up with us directly in Courchevel!

If you are interested in the Courchevel extension, please fill out the Val d'Isere Interest Form and indicate your interest in the relevant field!
